Language Arts -- [smiley] Reread
& retold The Great, Big, Enormous Turnip. Talked about the
beginning, middle, ending. Began writing own story, The Great, Big,
Enormous Apple.
Super Job today! He was very attentive. He
loved making his own story.
Math -- Addition Flash Cards.
Reviewed sides and angles; drew shapes with certain # of sides &
angles.
Jack is so creative. He made up new shapes
and even invented names for them. [smiley]
Handwriting -- Morning

Social Skills -- Game
Day
Unit -- Ireland -- story -- Mr.
O'Rourke. Craft -- leprechaun w/many hats
Special Gym --
Tennis ball catch, basketball, spider ball toss, badminton, balance beam, rope
climb, rock wall.
Jack accidentally hit a
little girl in the face w/ a spider ball & she cried. He went right up
to her & apologized & hugged her & consoled her -- it was
priceless! [smiley] (He is doing so much better at P.E.
centers; he seems to have fun & interacts well w/ the kids.)
Lunch -- Got a bit upset when another
student went in front of him at food line. He recovered
quickly.
Outside -- Around

Reading -- [smiley] The Kitchen
Band story; read silently, discussed. Then read poetry, "The
Dragon...." Seatwork: ABC order. Nice job today!
Other -- Computer Lab:
Thinking Things.
jacknotes: The little girl I accidentally hit
in the face with the spider ball was actually named Lauren. I apologized
to her. Then Mrs. Smith told me about how nice it was to apologize to
Lauren. Then we continued the game. That's the whole
story.
