niknotes: As Jack got off the bus, Mr. Hilliard wished him
a good day. Jack said, "Have a good day backward!" He then explained
to me that he was trying to make it funny and to show that kindness goes
backward.
Friday night, Jack received his gold belt at the promotion
ceremony. Grandmama and Aunt Verna came to see him. He was
well-behaved if not completely attentive throughout the entire ceremony (talked
to himself a little while waiting for the rest of the students to receive their
new belts, of all levels). He really liked seeing the newly promoted black
belts receive their "initiation?" kick to the abdomen from Mr. LePage.
That was later in a separate room, actually, and at their specific
request. Then we took Jack's photo with Mr. LePage. I'll post it on
the website within the next couple of days.
jacknotes: I don't want to answer any questions
right now.
