niknotes: I kept Jack home today in honor of Uncle
Jacques's birthday. Well, all right, that wasn't the real reason.
Jack had a rough day yesterday and just looked so much like a zombie last night
that I decided to let him sleep in a bit and take him to school myself.
But when he woke up, he complained of a headache and was also sneezing and
red-eyed. I gave him an antihistamine, which seemed to help his eyes and
sneezing. But he is still congested and says his legs hurt. That may
just be to get out of karate. He had a great time in Monday's class,
though, so maybe his legs really are feeling achy. Could just be a cold
combined with normal growing pains, too. I'm just not feeling all that
perky myself so I won't mind skipping karate myself tonight. (Except of
course for the part about making up missed classes on Friday nights or Saturday
afternoons.)
I just reminded Jack that he will still need to do his
spelling homework, and he said, "How about another story? You could call
this one 'Super Jack' and have only one villain in it, called The Dark
Wizard." This week's words are: who, now, people, my, made, over, did,
down, only, way.
