Daily Report Sheet       Name: Jack Dullaghan        Date: 08/23/02

Language Arts -- made an "I Can" book.  Jack did a wonderful job on his book!  He is really an artist.
Calendar -- yesterday, today, tomorrow - "Hello song" - ones, tens
Cooking -- made safety signs using crackers and frosting, raisins, etc.  Others have to guess.
Special  Art   -- learned about artist Piet Mondrian.  Started picture using his technique.  Great job! [smiley face]
Lunch --pizza, applesauce, choc.milk (no carrots)
Outside --track & pavilion. Whew!  Hot! Hot! Hot!
Show & Tell -- Jack did a great job telling about his sea shell.  He answered all questions very well!  Everyone enjoyed taking their turn listening to the ocean.
Independent Work -- One math worksheet on counting and writing numbers.  Also a worksheet putting pictures in order to make a story.
Other -- Unit -- Survival Signs - stop, railroad crossing, etc.
Teacher Comments -- We have clean-up jobs at the end of the day.  We no longer have line leaders and calendar helpers.  We take turns so that everyone gets a chance during the day.  This eliminated a lot of our arguments! [smiley face]
-- We don't remember a germy boy named Carlisle in the stories, but there may have been.  I'm sure Jack is right!

niknotes:  This morning, Mick's bus came first, by about 2 minutes, so he got to set the good behavior example for Jack.  When Mick's bus drove out of sight, Jack said, "I miss my brother."  But at the present time, of 4:00 p.m., Jack is getting mad at Mick for testing the carbon monoxide detector.  (Mick is pressing the button to hear the electronic beep, repeating "Keeek!" each time it sounds.)  He just told Mick to stop or he would take away his Elmo, which of course made Mick cry.  I'll intervene.
