I will make a copy of Jack's progress note, and return it tomorrow.  Your comments are very helpful. -- Mrs. Barker

niknotes:  Mrs. Barker, Jack told me, gave him the "Awesome Language" sticker he was wearing proudly on his shirt when he got home this afternoon.  The progress notes Mrs. Barker mentioned are notes I've written on his Speech Activity Calendar (daily homework), which helps her recognize specific strengths and weaknesses to work on with him in their Speech sessions.  I was very detailed (who that knows me is shocked?) and I just thought the specifics would be a good reminder years from now of Jack's language and progress and personality at this point, as a first grader.  One might think that the daily report sheets and all his many illustrated stories and school work would be as much paperwork as anyone would even want, but I just thought some of his answers on different activities were so funny, and I liked seeing which activities he really liked and the ones he kept getting distracted from.
When Mr. Don brought Mick home this afternoon about 2:00, we chatted for a second about Jack's miraculous good morning moods.  This morning made five in a row!  I told Mr. Don that it seems to be all about tornadoes.  This morning, after breakfast (the usual blueberry muffins), Jack got to watch the twister part of Wizard of Oz, twice.  Mr. Don says Jack points out clouds and winds and green skies and dangerous tornadoes on the bus ride ... for everyone's safety.

jacknotes: (Jack went to the store with Da ... so no notes today!)
