niknotes:  Jack happily boarded the bus again this morning!  Instead of a tornado on video, he watched the "Outtakes" from the Monsters, Inc. DVD and the short "Mike's New Car" while eating his blueberry muffins and then brushing his teeth.
He just read me his book Anansi's Narrow Waist, which is an African folk tale about how a spider came to have eight legs and a narrow waist.  Jack asked me, which I'm guessing is a question Mrs. Robertson asked him, "Do you think that's really how a spider got eight legs?"  Then he added, "Did he just grow his legs?"
Now he'd like to play Curious George's ABCs on the computer.  He was inspired by Mick's request to play "Elmo computer" which actually means Sesame Street "Letters" CD.  I told him I would type his Jack report very quickly and then let him use the downstairs computer since Mick is already playing "Elmo" upstairs.  Mick just screamed for me, probably due to technical difficulty, but Jack ran upstairs to help him, and he must have solved the problem because there's no more crying.  Sweet Jack.
I wonder what happened with his second AR test there.  Maybe I can take a peek at the books/tests tomorrow when I'm at Magill for the Publishing Workshop Work Day.  Apparently, room parents make hand-bound books for the kids in the class.  I guess I'll find out all about it tomorrow.  I don't remember Jack getting one last year.  Could I forget such a thing?  Hmmm, probably.

jacknotes:  I ate Chex Mix for snack.  I finished first during my handwriting, the morning sentences.  Nobody else finished first.  "Good morning.  Today is the first day of October.  Soon the leaves will start to fall."  During my other handwriting, I corrected my D.O.L. sentences:  "I had an old hat.  Do you wear a hat?"  In the library, I rented a tornado book called Twister.  I was making a compliment for all of my teachers, but they didn't listen to me.  "I like your shirt, and hair, and pants ..."  I was like, "I can't hear; it's damaging my hearing!"  A beach damage is when the sky looks green to me and the lightning comes down and a tornado sucks up all the fun and drops them somewhere else.  [tornado noises]
