niknotes -- Below is the message I tried to send to Mick's
teacher, but it came back as "undeliverable." Anyway, you might like to
read what I wrote.
Hi, Mrs. Bracy!
The teacher links from the Partee web page are "under
construction" so I've taken a stab at an e-mail address for you, based on Jack's
teacher's. If you're reading this, I must have gotten it
right.
Anyway, I can't find Mick's glasses. I know he wore
them home yesterday from school, but I don't know when or where he removed
them. We didn't go anywhere, so they're in the house, but under what or
behind what? I hope I can find them. If I do, I will bring them to
the front office of the school.
Also, I just wanted to tell you that last night as he was
falling asleep, Mick said, "Hi, Mama. Hi, Grandmama. Hi, Da. Hi,
Kris-Miss." He loves you.
And as far as the lunch goes, I doubt he'll eat anything
today from the cafeteria menu, but maybe a grilled cheese or the chicken would
be worth a shot. I wrote a note in his folder and circled those choices on
the menu print-out. He didn't seem to be starving yesterday when he got
home from school, so I guess he wasn't hurt by skipping snack and lunch.
Did he eat a Pop-Tart for breakfast? He had two bites of one this morning
after his bath, while he was playing what he calls "Elmo" on the computer but
what is really a Sesame Street Letters CD without Elmo in it, I think.
Telly is the monster who answers questions (along with Oscar the Grouch) from
the main screen. And then there are three areas with a variety of alphabet
(and other) activities. He can't get enough alphabet. Yesterday as
soon as he got off the bus and came inside, he started practicing his letters
with his two wooden, alphabet puzzles. "F is the first zabba-zabba
FISH!" etc. Very cute.
He is also asking for help much more specifically, like
"You want some help? You come upstairs?" Consequently, he seems less
frustrated, which is the best part!
So I hope this e-mail reaches you.
Thanks,
Nicole
