Teacher Comments: Mrs. Debbie taught Mick and
Matthew to sign "I love you." It is very precious.
Mick is out of Pop-tarts. We tried the breakfast mix
-- but he was not a fan of it.
I put the wrong date for our cookout in the
newsletter. I meant to put Sept. 25 (this Wed.) instead of Oct. 16.
We will eat at 12:30. Can you make it? We'll have hot dogs, chips
& cookies outside on the playground.
niknotes -- Mick seems to need a nap rather badly this
afternoon, but he was so cheerful getting off the bus and saying 'bye to "Ister
Don." Just now he asked for "more popcorn" which reminded me of Alice in
Wonderland telling the Mad Hatter or March Hare that she couldn't have "more"
because she had had nothing yet, and of course the reply was that it's quite
easy to have more than nothing. But anyway ... Mick put the popcorn bag in
the microwave, wrong side up, so I said, "Turn it over," which he did.
Then he said, "That's the ticket." He then pressed the popcorn (one-touch)
button and is watching it pop. I think I'll read him a story while he eats
his snack, and then maybe he'll take a nap, though Jack is due home in about ten
minutes which might interfere with my plan. Not that Jack is an
interference!
One additional comment -- as I was typing the last couple
of sentences, the popcorn finished, and Mick stood by me insistently urging,
"You want some popcorn? You want some popcorn? You want some
popcorn?" Finally, he said, carefully it seemed, "I want popcorn?"
Good boy!
