niknotes -- Mick did very well at his eye appointment this afternoon despite being quite anxious. I guess he must have thought he was getting sprayed in the eye again -- for the pupil dilation, even though we've had two visits since that one. He was anxious those times, too. He kept saying, "Green car? Outside?" in a nervous voice. Dr. Dagi's replacement, Dr. Weeks, was very sweet and patient with Mick. She was also pleased with how he looks through his glasses and IS using both eyes. The left one still drifts with the glasses off, but apparently with the glasses on, he can see up close with it. And there's no crossing when he's looking at a distance. In four to six months, she will try to get Mick to read a picture chart for her, to determine if he's seeing well out of both eyes, with his glasses. Maybe after that much more time with Mrs. Kris and everyone at school, he'll actually be able to cooperate enough to read the picture chart for Dr. Weeks. I'm certainly hopeful.
