niknotes -- Mick played with Boney Maloney after school
today, dragging him through the puddles in the driveway and at the end of the
driveway, after giving the skeleton a "biiiiiig huuuuug!" He was very
cute. He also stood up and waved at every passing vehicle, which seemed to
be a lot this afternoon, maybe because yesterday was a holiday. There were
the usual three school buses, including Jack's, a UPS delivery, a gas company
truck, the mail carrier, and lots of neighbors coming and going. After the
mail truck left, Mick went, without any suggestion from me, to the mailbox and
pulled the mail out and shut the door. There was lots, and he was holding
it awkwardly as it fanned out against his chest, so I didn't wait for him to
drop it in a puddle or scatter it through the yard; I just ran to help.
Anyway, he was just saying, "Circle's turn, triangle's
turn, square's turn." Now he's drawing on his "drawer-ing" board.
("Well, hello, my name is Simon, and I like to do drawer-ing!")
