Helpers/Vehicles
1. Improving social use of language:
maintaining eye contact, greetings/farewells, identifying classmates and
teachers
2. Improving receptive/expressive language
skills:
- Requesting items or assistance using
verbalizations
- Asking (who, what) questions
- Answering (yes/no, who, what) questions
- Following directions
- Improving vocabulary skills (nouns): bus/bus
driver, car/mechanic, fire truck/fireman, rocket/astronaut, police
car/policeman, doctor/ambulance, farmer/tractor, mailman/mail truck,
airplane/pilot, garbageman/garbage truck
- Understanding and using prepositions: rides
in (a bus), works on cars, puts out fires,
etc.
- Other: Mick practiced completing sentences and
answering questions with about 60% accuracy. He followed related 1-2
step directions with minimal prompting as well.
