niknotes -- Sean greeted Mick upon his arrival home by bus
today, and Mick just beamed. Later, when Sean returned from running, Mick
went out and sat patiently on the front step for the Da-Mick ritual, that has
long been absent, of taking a moment together when Sean comes home from work or
the store or approaches the front door for any reason, really. It doesn't
even have to be our own front door, now that I think about it. When we
visited Sean at Fort Bragg, back in March, Mick did the same thing outside the
hotel room door. What's so wonderful, to me, is that he didn't scream
about it, as he did when the ritual first began, if Sean forgot, or deviated,
but now Mick seems to know that Da will come back because it's
important.
