Daily Report Sheet
Name: SSG Sean
Dullaghan Date:
03/31/03 Monday
- Phone call from Sean 2:48 p.m.
- He has moved about 30 miles from previous location
- Not yet joined up with forces awaiting his
arrival
We got to chat for quite a long
while, almost half an hour. Sean was still on the phone when Jack's bus
arrived, so that he heard the brakes and the rumble of the engine before Jack
exited the bus. I gave Jack the phone, and he immediately told Da that
there had been a fire drill at school this afternoon and he knew "just what to
do in case of a real fire."
Sean doesn't know what the phone
or computer situation will be once he moves to his next location, but he
should be given a new APO address tomorrow, whether or not he can
communicate it to us. The previous address will be fine until we hear
further.
He met and heard lots of
interesting stories from a Brit who was just in Basrah this morning. And he
has been able to see some television coverage.
The current weather there seems
to be mild and comfortable both day and night, but Sean remembers his last trip
to the Gulf and how leaving in mid-April seemed to be just in time to avoid
miserable heat. I just hope Worley isn't driving the water
truck.
