Daily Report Sheet
Name: SSG Sean
Dullaghan Date:
09/18/03 Thursday
LAST MINUTE CHANGE
Sean called at approximately 3:45 from the Azores. His plane blew out
an engine upon take-off, leaving Portugal, and had to circle the ocean, dumping
fuel, to make an emergency landing. He does not know when the plane will
be repaired or when a new plane will be available. Therefore, we don't
know when to expect him here in Atlanta or when he will head to Fort
Bragg. However, sleeping arrangements were in the process of being made
for all the passengers from his flight when he called. As soon as he has
more information, he will try to contact me, and I will forward the information
to all of you. Most inconvenient, of course, but as Sean pointed out, it
could've been worse.
Up to the minute news [1645]: Sean is on my cell phone this moment
with news that there will be a flight leaving tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. local time,
which is noon (we think) Eastern, going to Baltimore and then coming to
Atlanta. So I will reschedule his flight to Norfolk for Saturday morning,
if possible. What a mess. Hopefully, we'll see Sean tomorrow night,
though.
